Piers

•Principal Designer • Head Gardener•

With a diploma in Garden Design from the English Gardening School in Chelsea and an RHS Level 2 qualification, Piers leads the Design and Plant service while maintaining a hands-on role in the care and management of our growing portfolio of private and commercial gardens across Bristol and beyond.

A lifelong passion for plants, nurtured during an upbringing in rural Gloucestershire, naturally led Piers to a career in horticulture. His mission is to bring the beauty and benefits of the outdoors to the people of Bristol, where he has lived for over 20 years.

What we do

We provide expert care for a wide range of green spaces in and around Bristol, with a focus on larger gardens requiring skilled, year-round maintenance. Our approach goes beyond routine upkeep: we proactively seek opportunities to enhance each garden, offering guidance on planting, soil and plant health, and overall garden structure to ensure the space is both functional and visually refined. Strong client relationships are central to our work, and we pride ourselves on clear communication and a collaborative approach.

Bill holds an RHS Level 2 qualification in horticulture and a wealth of hands-on experience developed over many years in diverse garden settings. His degree in Classics, combined with an artist’s eye for detail, provides a strong foundation for his horticultural expertise, guiding him to his current role as Senior Gardener.

Our ethos

We believe gardens should be both beautiful and sustainable. Through considered management, organic practices, and dedicated care, this balance can be achieved in any space. A well-designed garden can enhance wellbeing, improve air quality, and create resilient ecosystems that support diverse species—while also offering a tranquil and uplifting place to enjoy. Our role is to bring this vision to life.
